Response of sweet corn (Zea mays saccharata L.) to plant spacing and granular organic fertilizer (GOF)

چکیده

Abstract Demand for sweet corn occurs drastically, especially in big cities. One of the limiting factors growth plants is size plant population and nutrient status soil. Based on this, it necessary to increase yield corn, among others, by setting right spacing applying organic granular fertilizer at dose as a source nutrients. The study was conducted Mandai, Maros, South Sulawesi using randomized block design factorial. Plant first factor (J1=70x20 cm; J2=70x30 J3=70x40 cm). level application second (G1= 1 t ha-1; G2=2 ha −1 ; G3=3 ). use fertilizers had no significant effect height, number leaves, leaf area, cob diameter, or rows per cob, but effect. parameters length, weight without husk, 100 grains, seeds row, potential corn. In general, best obtained 70 x 20 cm with (GOF) 3 ha-1, namely 12.81 .

Greenhouse Gas Fluxes from Irrigated Sweet Corn (Zea mays L.) and Potato (Solanum tuberosum L.)

Intensive agriculture and increased N-fertilizer use have contributed to elevated emissions of the greenhouse gases, CO2, CH4, and N2O. In this study, the exchange of the greenhouse gases, CO2, N2O, and CH4, between a Quincy fine sand (mixed, mesic Xeric Torripsamments) soil and atmosphere was measured in a sweet corn (Zea mays L.) sweet corn potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) rotation during the 20...
